Then I had to recreate symlinks as if somehow they got invalid. It happened only once when launching rf2 for the first time after moving folder. In this way of copying only workshop folder user can keep rf2 on SSD for instance to have better track loading times.Īfter doing this Steam redownloaded all my workshop items. This is not the same as steam option of moving entire game by creating steamlib on another drive. This can't be avoided as far as I know but workshop folder can be moved to another drive as described here: This folder is used only for steam, rf2 unpacks these workshop items in its own folders so there is double content. Steam creates workshop folder where it downloads items user is subscribed to.
If you want to save disk space on drive where rf2 is installed there is a way to move steam workshop content to another drive.
Maybe I am stating obvious or maybe someone finds this useful.
